The Senior/Homebound Outreach Program makes monthly visits to Senior residential facilities and nursing homes, bringing the experience of browsing for Library materials right inside the doors.

Two special bears will be visiting the library this holiday season! Snowflake and Jingle Bell will be spending time in Children’s Services. They plan on having a few adventures while they are here and we’re sure our security camera will see what they are doing!
December 1st to December 24th:
• Stop by the Children’s desk daily to view the picture of what the bears did the night before
• Use the picture to find the Snowflake and Jingle Bell located somewhere in the Children’s area
• Tell the Librarian where you found the Snowflake and Jingle Bell to earn an entry into a drawing for a chance to win a prize!
• You may enter daily from December 2nd to December 24th

After our Thursday Stories Story Time at 10:30 am join us for a lesson on the importance of seeds in winter at 11am in the Craft Corner. Even in winter we must remember 3 little words to help protect our environment. Play, Clean, Go! Learn how fast "alien invader" plants can take over native habitats. Kids will learn how seeds travel, impacts of noxious weeds and decorate a pinecone ornaments with native seeds to help them travel.

In the Taoist tradition, a person's health depends on the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. The Taoist Tai Chi arts exercise the entire physiology, including the tendons, joints, connective tissue and the internal organs. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing that allows movement, including grip-less, flat-soled shoes, and should be prepared to sign a waiver.
