BAHSIC
Billings Area Health Sciences Information Consortium
The Billings Area Health Sciences Information Consortium (BAHSIC) was formed in 1982 through a grant from the National Library of Medicine. It is a group of public and private libraries working together to meet the information needs of health sciences professionals, students, and consumers in the Billings area. The grant funded a full time coordinator for two years, after which members began paying dues, serving as officers, and rotating as hosts for bi-monthly meetings. In 2007 BAHSIC hosted the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Medical Library Association's annual conference in Billings. Over the years BAHSIC has been awarded several grants to fund various things including books, technology, and continuing education for its members. BAHSIC is proud of its accomplishments and looks forward to many more years of networking among multi-type libraries and sharing resources. Please ask your librarian or call individual libraries for hours.
