Teen Advisory Board

What is TAB?

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is your opportunity to shape the future of teen services at BPL. TAB is made up of passionate, creative, and motivated teens who meet regularly to brainstorm new ideas, plan programs, and help improve the library for teens like you. If you want to make a difference in your community, meet new friends, and have your voice heard, TAB is the place for you!

As a TAB member you can:

Plan Programs: Help organize teen events, from gaming nights to DIY workshops to outdoor adventures.
Create Content: Design posters, create social media content, or even write blog posts and book reviews.
Shape Library Services: Suggest new books, movies, games, and more. Help improve the teen space and make it more inviting.
Earn Volunteer Hours: Need volunteer hours for school or extracurriculars? TAB is a great way to give back to your community while having fun.
Make New Friends: TAB is more than just an advisory board—it's a community! You’ll meet other teens who share your interests and get to collaborate with them on projects and programs.
Advocate for Teens: Be the voice for teens in the community and share ideas to make the library more teen-friendly. The library is YOUR space, and we want to hear from you!

TAB Members also have the opportunity to participate in this weekly civic project in partnership with Humanities Montana, the Democracy Project. Teens who want to make a difference will work together to identify a problem in their community, design a project, and find solutions.

The Democracy Project is a weekly program that will meet on Wednesdays at 4pm in the Teen Corner.
