How to get a card

Fill Out the Online Library Card Application 

  • Residents may begin their application online through the Library's catalog by filling out and submitting the online form. Fill out the entire form including the PIN. Write down your PIN! It is required for most online services. 
  • A Congratulations! pop-up will appear when you are successful.

Please stop at our Circulation Desk to complete the application process. Bring a valid photo identification with current address and birth date to receive a library card.

Please stop at our Circulation Desk to complete the application process. Bring your completed application and valid photo identification with current address and birth date to receive a library card. 

A parent or legal guardian of a minor can provide their own photo identification and proof of current address to obtain a Library card for a child. The child must be present to be issued a Library card. Residents of Montana are eligible for a library card at no charge. Individuals must show photo identification with current address and birth date to receive a library card. Non-residents of Montana may purchase a regular library card for $20 a year.
