The Senior Outreach program resumed service on July 1st with modifications to our processes. As we are unable to enter senior living facilities, we are operating on a delivery only model. For more information about this program click here.
Older adults in our community are feeling the effects of isolation due to quarantines and lockdowns associated with the Coronavirus. Let's do something to put a smile on their faces!
We encourage you to make cards, color pictures or write letters. This small act can make a big difference in the life of a Billings senior!
Visit the library: Stop by the children's desk to pick up a coloring sheet that you can decorate and write a special message on. Save postage and drop off any of your other creations while you're at it. We'll make sure your artwork and other correspondence get into the hands of a local senior in need of some cheer during this difficult time.
To participate remotely: Address your mail to any of the participating facilities listed in the chart below.

We’re excited to announce the arrival of Billings Public Library CogKits. These cognitive activity kits are designed for adults with cognitive issues, Alzheimer’s and other dementias and are available in two levels: Early Stage and Middle/Late Stage.
Each kit includes a number of books, games, activities and informational resources and may be placed on hold through the library catalog or by calling 657-8255. You can also find them on the 2nd Floor of the library at the end of the book club kits.
This resource has been funded by generous grants from the Friends of the Billings Public Library and the Montana Geriatric Education Center.
Would you like some personalized help learning to better use your smartphone or other digital device? Maybe there’s a website or computer program that you could use some help navigating? Whatever the case may be, give us a call and sign up for a one hour session with a librarian that will help answer your questions and make you a more confident user of technology.
